Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Nurse Space mobile app and the public website at www.nursespace.app. The website includes marketing pages and waitlist forms. It does not require an account or sign-in to read this policy.

Nurse Space LLC operates Nurse Space. Privacy and support questions go to wislyrn@nursespace.app.

Nurse Space is intended for nursing professionals. It is not directed to children. We do not verify age. Child sexual abuse and exploitation are prohibited. See Children’s Privacy and the Child Safety Standards.

The public website is the Nurse Space social page. If you join the waitlist there, we collect the email address you submit.

Account and profile

When you create and use a Nurse Space account, we collect:

• Name, username, and email address
• Password, stored as a hash rather than plain text
• Nursing-license details, including the license number
• Profile information and nursing specialty
• Hospital or location information, if you choose to provide it
• Interests
• An avatar, if you add one

Nursing-license numbers are kept for staff review and for ongoing verification administration. They are not displayed to other members and they are not provided to advertisers.

Your profile name and certain professional and location details are visible to other members. Nursing verification is done by administrator review. Nurse Space does not currently perform a live, automated check with a licensing board.

Social activity

Depending on how you use Nurse Space, we collect content you create, including:

• Posts and comments
• Photos and videos
• Huddles
• Direct messages
• Collective listings

Profile information and social activity may be used to personalize content you see.

Direct messages are visible to the people in the conversation. They are not published as public website pages. Direct messages are not end-to-end encrypted. Nurse Space stores them so the service can deliver them.

Private Huddle content is visible to people in that Huddle. It should not be treated as publicly visible.

Lounge

Lounge is the promotional discovery area in the app. On the website it is also described as Picks. Lounge records promotional views, clicks, and coupon interactions.

Reports prepared for advertisers use aggregated results. Results for very small groups are suppressed. This policy does not state the exact group size used for that suppression.

An outbound link to a merchant may contain an anonymous click-attribution identifier. We use that identifier to tell which Nurse Space link was followed. Nurse Space may earn an affiliate commission from those links. We do not claim that this identifier is exempt from every legal definition of tracking.

When you leave Nurse Space for a merchant or another website, that site has its own privacy practices. We do not control what that site collects. Read its privacy policy before you give it information.

Website waitlist

If you join the waitlist on this website, we collect the email address you submit and the time you signed up. The signup is recorded as coming from the social page. If that email is already on the waitlist, we keep the existing entry and do not add a duplicate.

Waitlist records are stored separately from app accounts, in the Nurse Space application database.

Notifications, cookies, and analytics

Expo supports push notifications for the app. If you allow notifications, Expo is used to deliver them.

The app stores authentication tokens in secure storage on your device so you can stay signed in. Production and store builds of the app use HTTPS.

We reviewed the public website code. It does not include analytics software, advertising pixels, or code that sets cookies. We have not confirmed whether the service that hosts this website keeps ordinary server logs, such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested. This policy does not name an analytics product, advertising identifier, or extra tracking service, because none was confirmed.

Nurse Space does not currently process payments. There is no payment processor to name, and Nurse Space does not currently keep payment receipts.

We use information to:

• Create and operate your account, profile, and sign-in
• Review nursing-license details and administer verification, using administrator review
• Provide posts, comments, photos, videos, Huddles, direct messages, and Collective listings
• Personalize content from profile information and social activity
• Operate Lounge, including promotional views, clicks, coupon interactions, aggregated advertiser reports, and affiliate-link attribution
• Send push notifications through Expo when you allow them
• Contact you about a website waitlist, and respond to support and privacy requests
• Operate and maintain the service described in this policy

Other members

Other members can see your profile name and certain professional and location details. They can also see social content you share with them, such as posts, comments, Collective listings, Huddle content in a Huddle they belong to, and direct messages in a conversation they are part of. Nursing-license numbers are not displayed to other members.

Service providers

We use these providers to operate Nurse Space:

• Google Cloud Run and Cloud SQL, for hosting and database operations
• Cloudinary, which stores and processes media such as photos, videos, and avatars
• Expo, which supports push notifications

We do not name a payment processor because Nurse Space does not currently process payments.

Lounge, merchants, and advertisers

Advertiser reports use aggregated Lounge results, with suppression of very small groups. We do not provide nursing-license numbers to advertisers. Outbound merchant links may include anonymous click-attribution identifiers, and Nurse Space may earn affiliate commissions. Those identifiers are not described here as exempt from every legal definition of tracking.

A merchant website you open from Nurse Space is a third party. Its collection and use of information is covered by its own privacy policy.

Administrative access

Nursing-license data is accessible to authorized administrative staff for review and verification administration. This review did not confirm additional sharing, such as a sale of personal information or a named advertising network. This policy does not describe sharing that was not confirmed.

You can make these choices:

• Decide what optional profile details to add, such as hospital or location information and interests
• Choose what you post, message, list, or upload
• Turn push notifications off in your device settings. An in-app notification control was not confirmed, so this policy does not describe one
• Choose whether to open an outbound merchant link
• Delete your app account in the app, or ask us to delete it by email. The steps are on the Delete Account page
• Email wislyrn@nursespace.app to ask a privacy question, or to ask us to remove a website waitlist email

Nurse Space does not currently offer a separate in-app tool to download a copy of your information. You can email us and ask about the information this policy describes. We do not promise a specific number of days for a reply.

You can delete your account in the Nurse Space app, or request deletion by email if you cannot use the app. Full steps, including a contact link, are on the Delete Your Nurse Space Account page. Email requests are reviewed by support. They are not completed automatically, and we do not promise a completion time.

When in-app deletion succeeds:

• We remove the user account and associated social records
• Direct-message conversations may be removed for both people in the conversation
• Some photos, videos, and other media are removed later, through a Cloudinary cleanup step. That cleanup can take additional time after the account is deleted

Certain Lounge statistics may remain. Those remaining statistics do not include your name, email address, account ID, or nursing-license number. They may still include professional categories, location, or interests.

There are no payment receipts to delete. Nurse Space does not currently process payments.

In the updated beta experience, Huddle leadership succession applies when a Charge Nurse leaves or deletes their account. An accepted Co-Charge inherits leadership. Without an accepted successor, the Huddle enters a 14-day leadership grace period. During that period, existing members can read messages and volunteer to become Charge Nurse, but they cannot post new content. If nobody accepts leadership within 14 days, the Huddle and its remaining content are deleted. Some media removal through Cloudinary may finish asynchronously after that. If account deletion fails, email wislyrn@nursespace.app and ask us to delete the account. Do not send your password, nursing-license number, or other sensitive credentials.

A website waitlist email is stored separately from an app account. Deleting the app account does not, by itself, remove a waitlist email. Email us if you want that email removed. We have not published a fixed time for waitlist removal.

Copies may remain in backups or system logs. How long those copies are kept is not confirmed, so this policy does not state a number of days for them.

Support may need to verify that you own the account before completing an email deletion request.

We keep account, profile, license, and social information while your account is active, including nursing-license numbers used for staff review and ongoing verification administration.

After a successful deletion, we remove the account and associated social records, with the exceptions in Account and Data Deletion. Media stored by Cloudinary may remain until asynchronous cleanup finishes. Aggregated or suppressed Lounge statistics may remain without your name, email address, account ID, or nursing-license number, and may still include professional categories, location, or interests.

We keep website waitlist emails so we can contact you about Nurse Space. We have not published a fixed deletion date for those records. You can ask us to remove a waitlist email.

Backup and log retention periods are not confirmed. We do not invent a timeline for them here.

Confirmed safeguards include:

• HTTPS for production and store builds of the app
• Passwords stored as hashes, not as plain text
• Authentication tokens stored in secure device storage
• Nursing-license data limited to authorized administrative staff for review and verification administration

Direct messages are not end-to-end encrypted. We do not use application-level encryption of individual database fields. No service can guarantee absolute security. Please use a password you do not reuse, and do not send that password to us by email.

Nurse Space is intended for nursing professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We do not verify age, and this policy does not claim that an age check exists.

If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email wislyrn@nursespace.app and we will review the request. We do not promise a specific number of days for that review. To report child sexual abuse or exploitation, use the Child Safety Standards.

Nurse Space LLC operates Nurse Space. Google Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloudinary, and Expo may process information in the United States and in other countries where those providers operate.

If you use Nurse Space from outside your home country, your information may be processed in those locations. Privacy laws there may differ from the laws where you live. We have not published a country-by-country list of data-center regions on this page.

We may update this policy. When we do, we will post the new version at https://www.nursespace.app/privacy and change the effective date at the top of the page. Please review this page from time to time. The date above is the publication effective date of this version.
