Child Safety Standards

Effective date: November 1, 2026. These standards apply to the Nurse Space app and website operated by Nurse Space LLC.

Prohibited conduct

Nurse Space prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is prohibited. That includes photos, videos, and other visual material that sexually depict a child, and conduct such as grooming a child, sextortion, or trafficking a child for sex.

Nurse Space is a professional community for nurses. It is not directed to children. We do not verify age.

How to report

You can report from inside the Nurse Space app:

  • Report a Pulse post and describe the concern.
  • Report a comment, or report a person from a direct-message chat.
  • Report a Huddle message or Huddle. Choose Sexual or Other, and describe the concern in the details.
  • Use Contact Us in the app, or email wislyrn@nursespace.app. Say that the report is about child safety and where in the app you saw it.

Do not send the material itself by email. One report is enough for staff to review it. You do not need to wait for other people to report the same content.

What Nurse Space does

Nurse Space staff review child-safety reports urgently. Staff can hide a reported Pulse post from other members immediately. Staff can also hide a reported Huddle message immediately. Hiding does not wait for a set number of reports.

When staff open a child-safety hold, Nurse Space removes the content from member view and turns off public delivery of the stored file. The file is not downloaded into email or into the admin record. A restricted record of the asset identifier is kept so staff can complete the legally required report.

If the report is confirmed, staff deactivate the member account. Staff then file confirmed CSAM with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children through the CyberTipline, or with the relevant regional authority. Nurse Space does not send that report automatically.

After a CyberTipline report is recorded, Nurse Space keeps the restricted file for one year. Members cannot see it during that time. Staff may enqueue deletion of the stored file only after that one-year preservation period ends. Nurse Space does not delete the account or the stored file as the reporting step.

Nurse Space does not use an automated scanner to detect CSAM. The existing text scanner looks for threats, hate, scams, and possible patient-identifying information.
